Sr. Supply Chain Manager

About the role
As a Sr. Supply Chain Manager, you will support our manufacturing team in the sourcing of raw materials, components, parts, and equipment.

You will work with cross-functional teams throughout the entire lifecycle of a product (from design through prototype development and into full production). Our goal is to develop high quality and efficient manufacturing process & supply chain that will allow us to produce ships of all shapes and sizes, eventually spanning from 100ft - 500ft+ in length.

This individual will support the development, implementation and management of strategies to provide Joliet with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance. 

About you

  • Owner of RFQ's and contract management - ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated, agreed and appropriately documented before business is initiated
  • Drive negotiation for piece price and product development to ensure that Joliet's pricing meets best-landed-cost expectations as well as Supplier Industrialization standards of Best-In-Class quality
  • Ensures NDA, SOW's and Master Purchase Agreement are positioned appropriately before business is initiated
  • Lead the vendor selection process with engineering teams
  • Drive continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad hoc price negotiations
  • Monitor current category market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges & opportunities
  • Analyze current spend and evaluate current suppliers. Consolidate spend across supply base to create leverage, analyze purchasing trends and develop sourcing alternatives. Identify new high potential suppliers on global basis
  • Develop key performance measures for chosen suppliers and negotiate on multiple variables to award longer-term strategic contracts that result in significant cost reduction and improved service levels
  • Monitor current category market conditions, technology roadmaps, and identify supply/demand challenges and opportunities
  • Develop spend strategies, identify potential suppliers, analyze supplier capabilities, select suppliers, and determine prices, terms, and conditions of agreements

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of costing concepts, cost reduction, modeling, etc. preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, process engineering or product development

Expected Compensation

$82,800 - $189,000/annual salary + 0.1-0.3% equity
